Dawn at Galamanta
The performance will be a part of the City of London Festival 2012, on 6 July!
This event is the centrepiece of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the City of London Festival. The original work was first presented in Stockholm's Central Station in 2009 to a large audience and to a great acclaim, justifying the award it subsequently received. This will be its UK première and the concert will be a highly prestigious occasion.
In the project Galamanta, Share Music Sweden worked with the internationally renowned trombonist, composer and conductor Christian Lindberg, Swedish Wind Ensemble and the choreographer Helene Karabuda. The project did result in a commissioned piece of work for the Wind Ensemble and participants from Share Music.
This piece of art offers music and dance that focuses on the encounter of art performers with varied talents and powers of expression. Read more about Galamanta »
